A common road hazzard in the U.P., usually around twilight.  But this one was spotted while the sun was still high...

...a stretch of U.S. 45 on the way to Watersmeet.

In the early moments of dawn the Pasty Cam captures a phenomenal sea of blue at Great Sand Bay, with mist rising from the Keweenaw hills.

Some interesting shoreline erosion along Lake Superior.  That dark stain on the sand is Taconite tailing polution.
